Tetairoa McMillan, affectionately nicknamed “T-Mac,” is a professional football wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers, born on April 5, 2003, in Waimānalo, Hawaii. At just one year old, he moved with his family to Southern California, where he later attended Servite High School in Anaheim. Career
McMillan’s football career began to take shape at Servite High School, where he emerged as a five-star recruit and one of the top prospects in the nation. As a senior, he recorded 88 receptions for 1,302 yards and 18 touchdowns, earning a spot as a finalist for the Gatorade Football Player of the Year and the 2021 Polynesian High School Football Player of the Year award. His two-way play, including eight interceptions with two returned for touchdowns, highlighted his versatility and led to him being named California’s Mr. Football in 2021. Initially committed to the University of Oregon, McMillan flipped to the University of Arizona to play alongside high school teammates Noah Fifita, Jacob Manu, and Keyan Burnett, becoming the highest-rated recruit in Arizona’s history.
At Arizona, McMillan made an immediate impact as a true freshman in 2022, leading all true freshmen nationally with 702 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 39 receptions. His sophomore year in 2023 was a breakout season, with 90 receptions for 1,402 yards and ten touchdowns, ranking fifth nationally in receiving yards. Notable performances included 266 yards and two touchdowns against Arizona State, setting a Territorial Cup record, and 160 yards in the 2023 Alamo Bowl victory over Oklahoma. In 2024, McMillan continued his dominance, setting a school record with 304 yards and four touchdowns in a single game against New Mexico. He finished his college career with 213 receptions, 3,423 yards (an Arizona record), and 26 touchdowns, cementing his legacy as one of the program’s all-time greats. Declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, McMillan was selected eighth overall by the Carolina Panthers, signing a four-year, $27.93 million rookie contract.

McMillan’s trophy case reflects his meteoric rise. In high school, he was named the 2021 California Mr. Football, 2021 Polynesian High School Football Player of the Year, and was selected for the 2022 All-American Bowl and Polynesian Bowl. At Arizona, he earned All-Pac-12 Second Team and Sporting News Second-Team All-American honors in 2023, followed by a 2024 Consensus All-American selection and the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year award.
He was a finalist for the 2024 Fred Biletnikoff Award, narrowly losing to Travis Hunter, and was named a preseason first-team AP All-American in 2024. McMillan also received the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week award in 2024 after his record-breaking performance against New Mexico.
