To ensure safety, the General Service Unit (GSU) will oversee crowd control and gate management during the match. The encounter will also be televised live on Azam TV, alongside four other league fixtures set for broadcast this weekend.
For the Glamour Boys, the tie is more than just a season opener—it represents an opportunity to set the tone early. Last season, Shabana finished fifth, and they have since bolstered their squad with 14 new signings.
The club brought in striker Victor Omondi, winger Derrick Otieno, and midfielder Daniel Kiprono from KCB, while goalkeepers Caleb Omondi (Gor Mahia) and David Obasanjo (Kisumu All Stars) also joined the ranks.
Midfielder David Odoyo arrived from Tusker, Humphrey Obino from Murang’a Seal, Wycliffe Omondi and Gilbert Abala from Nairobi City Stars, Kevin Musamali from Bidco United, Eric Otieno from FC Talanta, Byron Otieno from Kariobangi Sharks, Brian Olega, and Ugandan forward Nsumbuga Bronson.
