Gor Mahia has revealed the ticketing arrangements for their season finale against the newly crowned champions, Kenya Police FC. The match is set for Sunday, 22 June, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata.

This encounter will mark the official coronation for Police, who clinched their first-ever FKF Premier League title last weekend with a 1-0 victory over Shabana FC at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Brian Okoth netted the winning goal that secured this historic achievement.

Hosting the game, Gor Mahia has priced tickets at Ksh500 for general admission and Ksh3,000 for VIP seating. These rates have sparked controversy, as many fans have drawn parallels to Police’s pricing from last season’s fixture at the Police Sacco Grounds, where tickets were sold at Ksh1,500 for terraces, Ksh2,000 for VIP, and Ksh3,000 for VVIP seats, a move that attracted criticism.

Despite their title win, Police FC remains determined to finish the season strongly. Head coach Etienne Ndayiragije commended his players for their determination throughout a fiercely competitive season and recognized Gor Mahia for presenting significant challenges.

“We have worked so hard for this, and I am happy we now have it after a huge struggle. We wish to congratulate our opponents, especially Gor Mahia, for pushing us to the limit. It was a tough season with worthy opponents, and we hope to replicate this next season,” Ndayiragije said.

Meanwhile, Police chairman Munga Nyale stressed the significance of winning the final match, urging his team to uphold the mentality of champions.

“We still have one last match to play, and we want to finish the league in style. Champions do not lose. On Sunday, we must prepare and play like wounded buffalos. I do not expect us to lose our final game,” Nyale stated.
