The UEFA Champions League semi-final schedule for the 2024/25 season has been confirmed, setting the stage for thrilling clashes between Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Barcelona, and Inter Milan. The four European giants will compete in two-legged ties to secure a spot in the final, scheduled for May 31, 2025, at the Allianz Arena in Munich. The first legs will see Arsenal host PSG on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 9:00 PM CEST at the Emirates Stadium in London, followed by Barcelona facing Inter Milan on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 9:00 PM CEST at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona.

The second legs are set for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, with Inter Milan hosting Barcelona at the San Siro in Milan, and Wednesday, May 7, 2025, when PSG welcome Arsenal to the Parc des Princes in Paris, both at 9:00 PM CEST. Arsenal earned their semi-final berth with a dominant 5-1 aggregate win over defending champions Real Madrid, showcasing defensive solidity and clinical attacking play under manager Mikel Arteta. PSG advanced by overcoming Aston Villa 5-4 on aggregate, while Barcelona dispatched Borussia Dortmund 5-3, leveraging their competition-leading eight counter-attack goals.

Inter Milan, the only other former Champions League winner in the lineup alongside Barcelona, edged out Bayern Munich 4-3 on aggregate, relying on their stingy defense, which concedes just 0.14 expected goals per game. The Arsenal-PSG tie pits the Gunners’ robust backline, led by William Saliba, against PSG’s star-studded attack, with the first leg at the Emirates crucial for establishing momentum.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s high-octane, counter-attacking style faces Inter’s disciplined low-block defense in a matchup that echoes their 2009/10 semi-final, won by Inter en route to the title. The semi-finals follow a two-leg format, with the team scoring more goals on aggregate advancing. If tied, 30 minutes of extra time will be played, followed by penalties if needed, as the away goals rule no longer applies. Yellow cards were reset after the quarter-finals, so only red cards would result in suspensions. The winner of Arsenal vs. PSG will meet the Barcelona vs. Inter victor in the final, with the former tie’s winner designated the “home” team for administrative purposes.
