As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, one of the most highly touted defensive prospects, Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, is making waves with scheduled visits to two teams in need of bolstering their defensive lines: the Cleveland Browns and the Las Vegas Raiders. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Graham will meet with the Browns on Monday, April 7, before heading west to visit the Raiders on Tuesday, April 8.

Graham, a two-time All-American and a key contributor to Michigan’s 2023 National Championship team, has emerged as a top-tier talent in this year’s draft class. Widely regarded as the premier defensive tackle available, his combination of explosiveness, versatility, and disruptive playmaking has scouts and analysts buzzing. With the Browns holding the No. 2 overall pick and the Raiders slotted at No. 6, these visits signal that Graham could be a prime target for either franchise as they look to solidify their defenses.

For the Cleveland Browns, Graham’s visit comes at a critical juncture. The team has struggled with quarterback Deshaun Watson’s performance and availability, prompting speculation about their draft strategy. While some mock drafts project the Browns to pursue a quarterback, others suggest they might opt for a blue-chip talent like Graham to pair with perennial All-Pro Myles Garrett. Graham’s ability to clog running lanes and pressure quarterbacks could provide an immediate boost to a defense already anchored by one of the league’s elite edge rushers.

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders are equally intrigued by Graham’s potential fit. With Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins already forming a formidable duo on the defensive line, adding Graham could elevate the unit to one of the NFL’s best. Analysts have praised Graham’s explosive first step and array of pass-rush moves, noting that his presence could make life even easier for Crosby, who recently signed a lucrative extension. The Raiders’ interest in Graham aligns with their strategy of building a dominant front under defensive coordinator Patrick Graham (no relation).

Graham’s pre-draft tour has fueled speculation about his landing spot. While some mock drafts have him going as high as No. 2 to the Browns or No. 5 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, others see him sliding to the Raiders at No. 6. His stock has risen steadily thanks to his standout college tape, despite modest sack numbers (nine over three seasons). Scouts highlight his ability to disrupt plays beyond the stat sheet, with one AFC scout telling ESPN, “Graham’s a highly disruptive player. Short arms don’t show up as a problem on tape—he’s constantly winning with leverage and quickness.”
